Priya with her sellsman |
Priya Islam Fatiha Posted a Heart Touching Post in facebook yesterday. I tried to translate it from Bangla to English.
Let me tell you a small incident of my life, if you can, you will learn, if you can't, you will give up.
When I was five years old, I worked as a plate cleaner in a restaurant in Kalighat for almost two years. At that time there was a pharmacy next to the restaurant. I had to go past the pharmacy to my kitchen room. The head of the pharmacy on the way means that the doctor would often look down on me or make fun of me. Probably a factor as to why they're doing so poorly.
The gentleman ignored me in such a way that I was in a lot of trouble, but I couldn't express it. At that time I may not have the knowledge to express.
Speaking of today-- I have several clothing showrooms in Kochi, Kerala, but I have 300 clothing showrooms not only in Kerala but all over India, although these are not my main business.
Anyway, back to what I was talking about - so today I went to a showroom in Kerala, saw an old man on the way and asked the driver to stop the car. Because- I don't know how to know the old man ... but I can't remember.
The gentleman is sitting on the side of the road with some Banaji medicine for sale, a lot of canvas type. I went in front of him and said Kakababu seems to know why you know.
He said to me- 'Are you Bengali'? I said- yes! Then he said- Twenty-five years ago I had a pharmacy in Kalighat but now I am bankrupt due to losses. In my last years, I now sell Banaji on the streets. You may have seen it on the side of the road. I have been in Kerala for the last seven years. The children stay in Calcutta but do not look for an old father. After the death of my wife, I am now a vagabond. My last age too, I am waiting for death.
Until then, I did not know who he was! I did not introduce myself. Because maybe he will get in trouble if he knows me.
I said to him - 'This is how your life is going'? He said that this is what is happening, playing one day and fasting the next day has increased his age and disease.
I handed him a card and told him to go to this address. There are many people your age breathing comfortably. You can too as long as Allah keeps you alive. I mean the address of my old age home in Kerala.
I contacted the old age home manager and said goodbye to him with a smile of relief.
Last word - many of us judge people by their livelihood and God judges by human humanity. God knows best when and how He keeps whom. So people never have to condemn.
Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), the greatest man in the world, has done a lot of low quality work in his lifetime and he has also run the state.
Today, those who are neglecting the livelihood of the people, who knows, maybe tomorrow God will make you stand at his door.
Remember that those whom you enjoy are the ones who cause you trouble.
